All the recent deals were instigated by your dumbass but obscenely rich owner, not us. Tell the clueless chump to look elsewhere and your wish will be granted (y)
Just tell Bloom to not engage with him and to not pickup any more of his calls, he'll soon get the message

We can afford Caicedo, we just don't think he's worth the money and if Brighton isn't willing to negotiate down from their 100m valuation, fair enough it's their player and they can what they wish. I just hope Chelsea quickly move on tho and stop wasting time because the season starts soon

Colwill was never on the table so he can't be included in any deal. 90m is fair for Caicedo and Sanchez, tho.
Tony Bloom has become a billionaire by extracting the value between other experts valuations of a market and his.

If he says Caicedo is worth £100m - Caicedo is worth £100m.
There isn't any point haggling with him.

Point of order: Bloom has not put the club’s valuation on any forum and Chelsea will NOT know it.

And that's fair if Bloom isn't willing to negotiate down from his set 100m number, but I hope we don't end up paying it because imho, Caicedo simply isn't anywhere near a 100m asset for Chelsea.

So I hope we try for one more bid between 85-90m, and if it's not accepted just move on

Would have been a factor for us though. it's the cash or nothing for Chelsea now. If you want to stump up the fee then the deal can get done, we've been open as a club and a fanbase about that. Until now Chelsea have yet to offer a fee that will remotely interest us and quite frankly it's a little tedious. As your club continues to throw the money around like confetti you are getting cheap with one of the best DM midfielders in the league. At the end of next season that £100m will look a bargain if you ever pay it.

Moises is on a four deal (+1) he is an integral part of our squad we do not need to sell now, we will if the price is right, but we do not have to.
Oh, I see what you mean about Colwill, yes. However I think the Colwill conversation between Boehly and Bloom happened a while ago, hence the impasse. I think Bloom might have tried to be a little too cute in that one - valuing Colwill at £30m and Caicedo at £100m+.

I suppose a lot of this will depend on Caicedo's attitude - if he stays, knuckles down and commits himself to the cause then Bloom is right to play hard ball. If he causes a stink then Albion could have a problem on their hands, and De Zerbi has already shown, with Sanchez, he's not adept at handling the ego of a disgruntled player.

That's why I see the deal being done - Chelsea take 2 unhappy players from Brighton in return for a massive wedge.

The other issue though is the Caicedo replacement. If as reported Albion were looking at Ugachukwu then Bloom appears to be being outmanoevered by Boehly. If not then it's less of an issue. Overall though with all that noises being made it would seem it's likely that Moises Caicedo moves this window.

Then they're both staying at Brighton for another season, because nobody in their right mind is paying that.

We already know Boehly is a bat shit lunatic though, so nothing is off the table.

I agree though, move on and look elsewhere.

£100m is not his number. No one knows his number.

Chelsea paid £60m + for Cucurella so not sure right minds come into it.

Also , Bloom / Brighton have never mentioned figures required. For all we know , 100m might still be short / or maybe 83 is the magic number . It's all press speculation

He isn't anywhere near a 100m player!

Bit for 90m, let's play ball!

We paid 60m+ for Cucurella because Boehly was ignorant about football and fair value for players. You would've never sniffed 60m+ if Winstanely and Stuart were in charge at the time

He isn't worth 90m either but we're a bit desperate because Winstanely the clown is determined to get his man.

He's an 80m player in my books but it would be acceptable to go to 90 MAX!!

The other factor that you alluded to was Chelsea want to dodge FFP in the short term by paying over a stupid period and long contracts. A stop has been put to that and indeed Bloom will want a huge chunk upfront.

Your book is outdated

Arsenal fans said the same thing in January.
Moises was left out of the team for one game to get his head right and then came straight back into the side.

I'm sure Moises will be disappointed, but he has already stated that he is happy at Brighton and will "leave it in God's hands" .

At this moment in time Chelsea are offering a well funded project and nothing else.
The Boehly era hasn't achieved anything of worth as yet and the current manager does not have an impressive track record.
Next season Moises gets to step up a level and play in the Europa league.
Moving to you allows him to tread water, while Chelsea sort themselves out.

Waiting to see how well things shape up next season, won't do him any harm at all.
He has had 2 big clubs bid big money for him in the space of 6 months.
If he's being well advised, there will be no issue.

How clubs account for transfer fees in their accounts and how and when they actually pay each other for players are two entirely separate things.
