Unfortunately those that voted for Brexit will have to wallow in it, experience it, feel its effects, before we can start to repair the damage done by it. It's notable that those attempting to defend Brexit -- and doing so with sustained arguments -- are dwindling by the day.

What an interesting article. My takeaway from it is that in Ashford 59.4% voted for Brexit in 2016. Remember the mantra "We knew what we were voting for"?
Reading the comments, of the small minority that come from Brexiteers, they either blame greedy UK politicians, or "spoilt" EU politicians that should have just let us have all the benefits of EU membership without any cost, or a combination of both.
A decade ago, getting the Eurostar from Ashford International to EuroDisney with my young family was just the best travel experience, a convergence of speed, convenience and common sense. I feel sorry for those families that are missing out. Everybody loses here.

The government’s focus on Brexit “crowded out and prevented” the work that was needed to prepare for the next pandemic, the lead lawyer to the Covid-19 inquiry has said. Hugo Keith KC told the inquiry that work arising from the threat of a no-deal exit from the EU under Boris Johnson may have drained “the resources and capacity” that were needed for pandemic planning.

Most that voted for Brexit will never change their mind and vote to rejoin. It’s human nature to hate to admit being wrong about something you were so gullibly taken in by, even in the face of clear evidence.
However, the approx 5.2m (and counting) young people that have become eligible to vote since 2016 don’t have to fight the same instinct. They’ll just see Brexit as the clusterfuck that it is.
What damage? We have our sovereignty back.We can make our own rules.Control our borders(if we want to)Make our own trade deals.Most countries in Europe are struggling.I read a little while back that Germany was on the verge of a recession.If all the negative people against Brexit just accepted it and knuckled down then maybe we would be feeling the full benefits. How do explain that America, which is basically run by a guy with dementia, currently has a rate of inflation of 4%, over half ours?What damage? America is not in the EU.Fact.What is the rate for the EU?
America is a free country that determines its own trade and immigration laws. Why are we doing so much worse?
The EU is still 27 countries. Plenty are doing better than us.

Which rules that we can now make ourselves should do you think we should now overrule ?
How do you think we should 'control our borders' and 'control' the ever increasing immigration rate ?
Which trade deal has come within 1% of the one we replaced when we left the EU ?
What is Germany's inflation rate or their cost of living currently rising at ?
Do you drive a train, live in West Durrington and shit in a bucket when on holiday ?
Seriously? We can discard any EU law we wish and make our own. We had a pandemic and there is a war.Not a great backdrop for trade deals.Rome wasn't built in a day and so this all takes time. What is the rate for EU countries? Does Germany have a strong economy? Do we have our sovereignty back? Can you move to the UK from the EU?

Darren Grimes is a shouty little man on the internet. Honestly, as much as some NSCers BREXIT devotees have made unreasonable claims, I'd rather spend an evening in their company than his.
That said, the narrator of the video offers little content of value too.
