It would be absurd not to simply switch it to the Wednesday. No reason I can see not to. And considering the strikes are already announced, we know there definitely won't be one that day.
No way can it be wednesday as that is a worst situation where fans can get there by train but cant get home as all the rail workers need an early night so they wont be tired for their day off next day there will be no trains after about 8pm like all the other strike days so

I think it'll go ahead with Palace fans getting coaches and those who can get there will get there. The club might get a small hit with their share of the food and drink sales and refunds for non STH tickets but they wont have to refund anybody else.

With another two (probably 3 maybe 4) games still to fit in there is a lack of days when matches could be played before the end of the season

Wolves and Brentford last season
Yep just refreshed my memory of the Wolves game - empty seats all over the place:-

"Bleak night on the south coast, that's now 11 without a win".

I suspect you are right.

Hopefully a little less likely to have a steward hospitalised.

'thousands won't attend' has been written a fair few times, over the years.
When was the last time thousands didn't attend the AMEX for off field (Ie non Hyypia) reasons?
The last time we had evening kos with no transport - wolves/Brentford as others have mentioned.

Bloom isn't going to want it on the Wednesday as Energumene will be running in the Queen Mother.

Going to bollocks up a lot of peoples plans for Cheltenham on the Thursday and the hangover will cause chaos on gold cup day.

The train service is normal on the Wednesday as I said in a previous post. As it’s a ban on sign ons after 00:01. All drivers for late services will have signed on before 00:01

Seem to vaguely recall TB sometime in the past having a winner at Cheltenham then hot-footing it back to the Amex for an evening kick-off

A deal breaker for what exactly?

Season tickets holders are not entitled to refunds, it's in the Ts&Cs (unless you pay the insurance). People who got tickets for the original game will be entitled to a refund on the re-arranged game because circumstances change. But then you know all this and are being deliberately obtuse again.

I mean club wont play game at a loss...yeah some revenue sales bar good etc down but the piggy bank gets filled on regular basis until next player sale.

So you are saying there will be a "normal" service from 21.35 when the game finishes for the next hour and a bit so all train users can leave Falmer :lolol: :lolol: they are incapable of doing that on a normal day, 100% there will be an tannoy announcement (as we have had before on a few occasions) at around 9pm say "there will ne no trains after the match"

Assuming he’s saying staff who are signed on to work there shift before midnight will still complete their shift in full and don’t stop immediately at midnight midshift so shouldn’t be impacted

Surely at the end of the day it`ll be the polices decision.
If they think they can handle any potential situation it`ll go ahead, any concerns and it will be off.

Getting all the extra coaches and buses to the stadium for a 7:30 kick off combined with the rush hour traffic seems optimistic at best!

There won’t be I’ve regularly travelled back from London and various football matches on evenings before a strike, it’s fine, if anything better service than usual. More staff turn up on days before strikes so they can take annual leave/rest day on the strike day. Like I said the everyone will sign on before midnight for late turns so won’t be an issue.
