Australia are normally excellent hosts.

Wouldn’t the time difference be an issue for footballs biggest market areas?
Games at World Cups are played across several hours. Look at this one - match 1 at 10am, match 4 at 7pm. With that in mind, I doubt the time difference is much of an issue, certainly no more than an Olympic games.

I'd love a north African world cup, I think that would be brilliant. Vibrant culture, passionate fans and in a part of the world that would attract large numbers of fans from all over the world.

Morocco bid for the 2026 one but lost out to the Canada/U.S/Mexico bid which while it'll be a good world cup for the fans I can't help but feel is a bit undeserving. It'll be Mexico's 3rd time and the U.S's second while Africa has had one in total.

Apparently Morocco are bidding again for 2030. Hopefully they'll get it this time.

I think 2030 may go to the joint bid between Argentina / Uruguay

Unfortunately the only African one so far in SA one wasn't great...yes, I know Morocco/Tunisia are very different places to SA. Perhaps Algeria could get involved too?

Australia should also get a chance soon IMO.

The syndicate money is on Tunisia for the draw. Ref just earned himself a large bung.
Why? It was the right call. If you look at corner a Tunisia player was wiped out off the ball well before the handball. Hence why he gave the freekick and not continue with the corner.

Genuine question - where the hell do people finds eight hours a day in midweek to watch football, hold down a job, do the shopping, washing, eat healthily, talk to your family and all the other choirs of modern stressful life?

Alright for some. :(

So onto Mexico Poland then. This one ought to be a good one now that KSA have blown the group wide open.

Poland have Matty Cash playing for them, which is nice.

I wouldn't have a problem with Argentina/Uruguay getting it other than it being a second consecutive world cup in the Americas. It would be a cracker though.

Australia definitely need one.

I'd be perfectly happy if the three from 30-38 were the ones you mention in no particular order.

Just read this - even better.....

On 31 August, it was suggested Paraguay would join as a third host.[6] CONMEBOL, the South American confederation, confirmed the joint three-way bid in September.[7] The Uruguay–Argentina–Paraguay bid would coincide with the centennial anniversary of the first FIFA World Cup final hosted by Uruguay as well as the bicentennial of the first Constitution of Uruguay. On 14 February 2019, Chile revealed their plans to join the three confirmed countries in hosting the tournament. Chile was accepted in the bid and will become the first-ever quartet to bid for the World Cup.
