Fond memories of one time I was in Oz when the cricket was on. VB were doing a special offer. Buy two cases and you got a free Warnie figure who you put on top of the telly during play and he would come out with random Warnie-isms at random intervals

Cheshire Cat

The most curious thing..
The most charismatic Australian cricketer since Keith Miller....

When asked many years later by Michael Parkinson, about pressure in cricket, Miller responded: "Pressure is a Messerschmitt up your arse, playing cricket is not".

Not read entire thread, but heads up for Amazon Prime doc in SW's own words. Only slightly airbrushed and IMHO way more honest than most such efforts

The first page of Shane Warne’s memoirs shows what a great man we lost. Hilarious, going to be reading the rest as soon as I get my hands on a copy!

four masseuse women were pictured leaving his Villa just over 2 hours before he was found unresponsive.

It seemed he lived life to the full right up to the end.

Is there actually ANY evidence to support this?

There is so much utter twaddle doing the rounds. If it cannot be proven then we should not take part in Chinese whispers.

I’m sure we’ve all seen the alleged pictures of him on the bed with the ladies but I could only see three?

I assumed that the fourth took the picture. Judging by the angle, she was either 8’ tall or stood on a chair…

Do we think there are intentional factual errors and relying on memory rather than wikipedia here...or just a parody [edit as per KZN below!]

What more could a man want in 1994? Well for starters it was 1993 and you were in Manchester not Nottingham. Perhaps he's gone with complete honesty that he wasn't going to look anything up and just write down how he remembered it. Which is perhaps as it should be. RIP Warney.

I think that is a parody.

The only quote I have seen from his real book is something like "Kerry Packer told me to sell the blue Ferrari and lie low for a bit, so I did what I was told and bought a Silver one instead"

The other bloke I feel sorry for is Mike Gatting, victim of The Ball Of The Century. The clip must have had a billion view in the last week.
