Two squads short on defensive players.

Brighton missing two CBs including captain and one of the best DMs in the league.
Chelsea missing first choice GK, RB and LB as well as two CBs.

Not sure how I am feeling in terms of the result, but looking forward to it. I do like a mid-week evening game. Dark and cold like football should be.
While I am not particularly confident, at least I don't have the feeling of advance resignation that I have had in the past with games like this. We could certainly get something if we have a good night.

Done a Frexit, now in London
Permission from the FD to leave work early to get to the Amex, he's a Chelsea fan and is full of confidence. I don't see us getting anything from this but if I can find my lucky pants we're draw.

Really? Give me a sunny Saturday afternoon over a cold and dark Tuesday night anytime!

Yeah, Chelsea might be the so-called "Champions of Europe"* but can they do it on a cold, errr... dry, Tuesday night in, errr... Falmer...?

* We all know that's really The Leeds United.

How soon is now?
As somebody pointed out on the match day thread last time we played them, their reserve goalie cost more than our starting 11. For all his whining Tuchel has no excuses really.
Naturally I hope we turn them over and to do so we'll need them to be shite, but I think we'll lose 3-1 sadly

The phrase "free hit" is a bit overused but this is one, isn't it? Game in hand that we're not expecting anything out of. Just one to enjoy I think (and ironic, given Chelsea's hoolie past, that it'll be a lot more relaxed than Friday :lolol: )

A win would be tremendous, we could do it too. Moder has been really unlucky recently, skimming the crossbar or the keeper making excellent saves, I think he’s our goal scorer tonight.

Really looking forward to seeing how we get on against a strong Chelsea.

Chelsea have a wierd fan-base of extremes, west London Hugh Grant types and Tory ministers at one end of the spectrum and knuckle dragging 55 year olds at the other. Neither team has been converting the chances they create and so expect a 4 - 4 draw!

A draw would be superb, with the bonus that not getting 3 points will totally wind Tuchel up. His constant whining really grates.

Can see us giving them a game tonight providing we don't concede too early on. Not confident enough to predict a win but I'm hoping we'll be as energised as we seemed to be at Stamford Bridge.

i will be very pleased to not be defeated....im keeping he faith we wont lose....we are in reasonably good form...keep creating chances and we have to put some away if we put 1 in 4 away we could win 4-0, 4-1, 4-2 or 4-3; i hope the crowd get behind the team and stay with them the whole match, lets be the 12th man.
