Great little video, kinda caught the atmosphere last night…

https://youtu.be/ojbNEvfpaC0

Not sure it did really - the atmosphere was absolutely bouncing in the home ends but he was sat in the East lower and next to the away fans - the worst place to be sat to capture the atmosphere from the home stands. Shame he wasn't up around or in the North; that video makes it look like all we sung was 'Albion' and made it seem like the Palace fans were more vociferous which was absolutely not the case. Both sets of fans very loud imo (with both going quiet after the goals against)

I assume with the form he's in Conor Gallagher will be trying to get a place in the Chelsea 1st x1 next season or if not will be too expensive for Palace to hang on to?

Brighton factually.....

I agree with what your saying, but you must admit the East is hardly ever that vocal.
The last one they did at Palace showed us in a good light as well.
In fairness both sets of fans, gave it their all.
That stupid nobhead running on the pitch though…

That game had everything for me except the buzz of actually being there

When you watch football experiencing excitement, stress, disappointment, exhilaration and fear over 90 mins, you can’t ask for more (except 3 points obviously)

Fabulous just fabulous, I love this club

Yeah I agree; that's what I meant when I said it's a shame he was filming from the east lower next to away fans of all places.

Thought the atmosphere was brilliant and both sets of fans gave it their all as you said. Anyone who says the Palace fans were silent till they scored is bullshitting (seen a few on here) and Palace fans saying the same about us (I'm sure there's some on social media) are also bullshitting. Hope the atmosphere came through well on telly as it was absolutely bouncing in the ground with a brilliant array of songs being belted out to boot

Agree 100%.
The few moaning on here after that last night need their head checking.

It’s you.

CP targeted him as the danger man, with a couple of players on his case throughout, freeing up space for us elsewhere.

They couldn’t keep it up. In that last 20 minutes, he was a key part of keeping the passing game going, looking for that opening. Great ball retention.

A great view of that from the NS.

Thought Moder really stepped up in this game and was really impressive, maybe as a result of attention on others, but I thought Moder had a cracking game.

Quick reflections: we are SUCH a good passing team. Fantastic footie last night. Great atmosphere. This team never gives up. Obviously a pity we didn’t win, and slightly nervous about the loss of Lallana (looking ahead to Tuesday). Mac Allister was phenomenal….his ability to win the ball rivals Biss. Hopefully we have the rest of this season (after AFCON) to watch them in the same team.
Pleasing to see that the so-called wonder kids (Olise and Eze) are maybe not quite so good after all. As for Guehi and Andersen at the back..ha ha!! And thank God none of the rumours about Edouard were true! Plus, the “wall of noise” from the Palace Ultras..,,where was that (apart from a brief period after their goal). No doubt Palace are a much better team than last season, but they really do rely on Gallagher.

I have just watched the highlights and, although a little biased, I thought Butland dropped the ball when it came into contact with Maupay.
Maupay's leg had been high but he brought it down well before any contact.

Also, when Moder was through he was given a shove just as he shot. It was not a shoulder contact but hand to shoulder.

I agree, similar to you I'm biased, but I don't think the GK had control of the ball, based on the below.

A goalkeeper is considered to be in control of the ball with the hand(s) when:

the ball is between the hands or between the hand and any surface (e.g. ground, own body) or by touching it with any part of the hands or arms except if the ball rebounds from the goalkeeper or the goalkeeper has made a save

I don't think the ball was between his hands, in fact I think it had rebounded off him.
