I thought it was a cracking performance. I mean yeah we should've won it, Gross should've scored the penalty, but we didn't lose to the bus parking South London comedy collective, and that'll do me fine. Absolute joy to watch our team and this game was no exception, some of the passing is glorious and whilst it would've been lovely to stuff them, we utterly dominated and again kept on going til the final whistle, you can't ask for more. Anyone who's not enjoying this season might just need to sit back and take stock. There were only maybe 6 misplaced passes throughout the game, astonishing. Having watched the Albion for 30 years I can't remember a time I've loved watching the team more.

Let me bring this back to reality. Yet again we have dominated a match and failed to win. This happens with monotonous regularity against teams in the bottom half of the table, 3 seasons now. Disappointing, to say the least. If you're happy at failing to beat Newcastle, Norwich, Palace, Southampton, Leeds etc then fine. That's up to you.,

Reality for me is we’re 8th (despite a long winless run), playing some fantastic football, dominating very good teams (Chelsea - CL winners - away FFS) for long spells if not whole matches, pretty much safe from relegation in January, developed a ‘never beaten’ mentality that has seen us score so many late goals, tactically fluid and have a mountain of youngsters either in the squad or out on loan tearing their respective leagues up and multiple rumours about £50m bids for our players and a chairman that’s happy to tell the bidding clubs to **** off. You’d have to be some kind of glass half empty, miserablist, negative ninny to not be enjoying where we are…..

I don’t find it monotonous - I’ve been supporting this football club for many years and I think it’s fantastic that we’re watching the best team we’ve ever had, playing the best football we’ve ever played and we’re 8th in the best league in the world. It’s swings and roundabouts for me - I don’t mind a few draws against the lower teams when we take points at Anfield and Stamford Bridge (and should have won those too). It’s January and we’ve lost one league game away - I can’t remember a season when we last did that.

Really? So we don't need to pur out s team to win football matches? POTTER does not understand our Club and needs to learn our culture or resign. Even important matches he bottles it.

Everyone so happy to laud in the result being fine because we have bottom 6 budget is happy to ignore the top 7 season ticket prices. That's why people are annoyed with the result.

Unfortunately that's what happens when you have a CEO who only cares only about his next bonus, literally spinning 3 months without a win in his programme notes.

Good performance from the much better side. Really should be winning that though. Same old same old.

Who is annoyed about the result out of interest?

I've seen more positive that negative since the final whistle on this thread?

What has Paul done to you or someone you know?

I'm going to back you up on this. Although we are terrific at the moment, it is wildly frustrating that the same pattern keeps occurring in matches at home against bottom half sides.

Total domination with no cutting edge then cough up a goal from the one time they go forward.

You can go for platitudes of "that's football", but it's clearly not just luck. It's a pattern which has repeated itself for season after season.

I just think we're a bit one dimensional and that's fine, I get we're not in the market for Mbappe, but you can start by playing your best available team, and we didn't do that today.

It’s only Gross tonight

Was it just me or did Trossard try to rival Gross for most ineffective player on the pitch

It’s you.

CP targeted him as the danger man, with a couple of players on his case throughout, freeing up space for us elsewhere.

They couldn’t keep it up. In that last 20 minutes, he was a key part of keeping the passing game going, looking for that opening. Great ball retention.

A great view of that from the NS.

Burn my MOM again and seems BBC pundits agree. He's been immense recently and kept their forwards quiet all night along with Webster. Been a long time since i can recall any mistakes from him putting the team under pressure
