I always thought the Marina would be a good place to try and outlast the apocalypse. Couple of easily fortified entry points, a ton of food places, access to the sea for escape and for fishing.

Please note that the rules of a Zombie apocalypse are that no matter where you are, you can't see a group of a thousand zombies until they're within 50 yards.
