Mark Flatts:

14/10/1972

17 league appearances for Arsenal
5 games for Cambridge (1 goal)
10 for the Albion (1 goal)
6 for Bristol City
5 for Grimsby

1 sub appearance for Arsenal in the FA cup
1 League cup appearance for Arsenal

A total of 33 starts and 12 sub appearances over a 6 year career 1990-96

last heard of making the most of a two week trial at Watford:

http://www.bsad.org/hall/flatts.html

further research has shown that Arsenal were prepared to let him go for £400,000

they didn't get it

I could never work out whether Rowe just looked really good in a weak team or he was genuinely good. I remember Swindon away when we were two down at half time and he changed the game by being really direct and pulled us back to 2-2 before Rusty f***ed up for their winner. He also got the only goal against Burnley on Nogan's return.

I think he probably just fizzled out a bit when he went to Peterborough and played in some weak sides. As Wayne Rooney has shown, you're only as good as the players around you.

I sometimes wonder whether Zeke wishes he could have stayed with the Albion. Who knows.

He was superb, the only bit of excitement from what was a truly dreadful time watching the Albion.

Flatts was also good, shame we never signed him as looked like he had a decent future.

Apparently he was terrible at Peterborough and became a joke figure. He even had a website dedicated to his crapness.
