Settling down with a bottle of Coronita and a mound of paella for the first game in the Galácticos fourth attempt at regaining the Primera Liga crown from their much better, and far less cheaty rivals Barcelona - the tiki-taka total-footballing Dioses de Catelonia (Sky Sports 1, 7pm).

I think tonight sweet little Real Zaragoza could provide a real thorn in the firm, tight backside of the "Chosen One". Mourinho's side has had a tendency to wobble* at the slightest pressure and La Romareda can be quite hostile when the mood is right. With the Galacticos poor disciplinary record, alleged hired eye-poking assassins and constant moaning at the referee, it will be important to collect no more than the obligatory six yellow cards allowed for each match.

Zaragoza's feisty gringo silver fox manager, Javier Aguirre (Agg-we're-eh) has promised to "come out swinging" and feels his side can cause an upset. Mourinho has taken to adopting the Gus Poyet method of handling tricky questions from the assembled media, stating; ""The first Liga match eees always complicated", adding "Eees a complicated match completely independently of where one plays, or who one plays. Yet Javier Aguirre is one of my favorite managers, as a person and as a coach". I agree, José, he is like the Mexican George Clooney, a dreamboat and no mistake.

My prediction... 1-1

*Or, more often than not, start kicking lumps out of everyone, then dramatically throwing their hands up in the air and yelling "¿QUÉ?" every time the referee shows a card)

Love the pre game report, i bet Javier Aguirre singing "Love Changes Everything" did nothing to improve Jose" i will poke your eye out with my little finger" Mourinho's mood.
