Ljungberg to Boro is not so laughable, he's been looking to leave for a while and why not join a team that is slowly emerging as a champions league contender, towards the end of your career?
They're slowly emerging as a stemaing pile of turd. :lolol:

Ljunberg has been Arse's best player this season.

Personally it saddens me that people still hold out hope of Bobby coming back when McGhee has invested so much time and money in created a stronger all round team. Its hanging onto the past when really we should be concentrating on the future. Its the same idiots who cheered his name at West Ham last season...how do you think that made our lads feel!????:glare:

Personally, I don't really care if it's BZ or Freddie Ljungberg that comes to us. I remember Peter Ward leaving, then returning, and the second time round we all wished he had stayed away, it just wasn't the same. If we get a good player (any position, not just a striker) who fits in with the team, rather than has a team fitted around him, then that should be good enough for us.

BZ was one of our legends, and will always be appreciated by the fans, as would Virgs if we ever played Celtic in the Champions League (!).

Two of our lads went on holiday with him so I don't suppose they felt 'put out'
MGhee has already said that going back to a team can work out as he did it when he played for Newcastle in two different spells (Fans Forum August) and this was in the context of BZ.

I didn't, he scored the goal at Newcastle that started our cup run to the final :)
