Why not? He loved it down here, on the DVD of last season they had an interview with him after the West Ham game and he said he "loved the place, and missed the place to be fair".

Thats like Wrighty saying he missed Palace after he moved to Arsenal. Sweet of him to say, but clearly bollocks.

Wright was doing well at Arsenal, Bobby's not getting picked.

I think Bobby moving to you is unlikely as there is a good chance another team would come in for him ...
I agree. But I wouldn't say there's no chance of him ever coming back.

Thats fair. Its just very unlikely ... IMHO.

Would be a good loan signing for you if he did though ... and to be fair you never know how much part a player's affections may take ... (I am under no illusions that we got Morrisson back only for that reason)

Not exactly the same.

If Zamora was playing every week, loved by the fans and scoring enough goals that he had the club record in sight, then I'd say it was like Wrighty at Arsenal. But as it is, the guy wants to play football, and if the chance offered itself he'd come back here.

As I say, IF West Ham sign McCarthy - or presumably another striker - in the transfer window he then bobby is on his way. the Premiership clubs will not be chasing him, so it will be back to the Championship. For the sake of being a few places higher up this division, he'd rather go to a club he knows he's loved, wanted, and will play regularly.

But if West Ham sign McCarthy, that still only really leaves them with 4 strikers;

1. McCarthy
2. Sheringham
3. Harewood
4. Zamora

So why are they going to let one of them go as 3 is very thin on the ground as injuries, suspension, arthritis or loss of form is bound to occur.

They've got Aliadiera and Bellion, not that they're better than Zamora.

Shows how much attention I pay to them these days, did not realise that. Have either of them been playing?
No idea, I've not been paying much attention myself. I'm pretty sure they've been starting with Harewood and Sheringham, and Bobby's been on the bench for every game.

He left Celtic as Virgo was used up front and he felt the manager was "taking the piss out of him" his words not mine. :D

He's on loan at West Ham now, as is Bellion.
