I feel very nervous vibes in the Brighton camp.
Come on get behind your team, this is how Palace survived 4 years ago.
Even though the going was tough we still believed we wouldn`t go down and got behind the team.
I am sure the lack of atomosphere dosn`t help you at home so it`s hard to generate anything into the team.

Hang on a sec, there's about 15 places between the play-offs and the relegation zone.

We're not saying that we're going down (I don't think we will) just that we have no chance of making the play-offs.

As for getting behind the team, our away support has been fantastic this season, although you are right about the difficulty in creating an atmosphere at Withdean.

Not nervous, just realistic.

The atmosphere at Withdean isn't always bad you know - but could be better. Away from home the support for the Albion is uniformly fantastic.

I don't know about anyone else here but until it is mathematically impossible I genuinely believe there is the very long shot of sneaking a play off spot.

To be honest we're not that bad, yet it appears the rest of the division is! Look at QPR and Stoke FFS! If they can put a decent run together there is no reason why we can't. I think this league is there for the taking and organised clubs like Reading and Wigan could (and probably should) storm it!

Wise words Lammy. Wigan and Reading will both finish somewhere in the top 4 I think, Albion have a settled side featuring a good young crop of players and a very good manager. I still wouldn't rule out a playoff berth especially if start showing some consistency.

In truth, the division is much of a muchness, except for no more than 4 or 5 clubs at the top end.

At the start of the season I would've taken 4th from bottom, now looking at it I want nothing less than 4th from top.

ok maybe thats a tad silly, realistically I dont think we are in with a sneaky shout of Play-Off but if we managed to get a decent run going we could just about sneak into the top 10...that would be amazing! Overall though I reckon 15th-18th is where we will finish.

Play-offs wouold mean a fantastic season, and I'd love to think we can make it.

But as this media whore said to the man with the microphone at Leicester, the only important thing this season is Falmer.

Reading and Wigan are like to decent horses but never last the pace.
I wouldn`t expect to see either of them in the top six come May.
I don`t Know your team that well or the quality you may have within your ranks, but i think another 2/3 seasons in this league is what you need to build a realistic promotion push and feel confident of holding your own in the prem` just as Palace have done this year`. (had to get that in). be easy on me for that comment.

Whilst I may dream of play-off places the reality is exactely this. For me I think our game plan should be to consolidate here, mixing it with some big guns and getting used to the bigger area. Then with a new stadium we can start making a serious bid for promotion. Anything before then would be a fluke and only good for a few away games and the money.

I would say four seasons in this division and a new stadium is what we need. Both are a big ask but if we don't get the nod with a new stadium then we're ****ed anyway :(

Either or really.

If you are doomed to the lower leagues then we may aswell be extinct. Whilst we are small in the imortal scheme of things at least we can dream of being up there with the big guns. If you can't have dreams then what is the point?

I don't think they will win it either.

But who will?

Wigan will win it if they can avoid injuries (like we did in our Championship season when we beat Reading). They're class and Jewell is a good manager.

It's a shame they're top at the moment- if they were 5th or 6th I reckon you'd get a very good price on them winning it.

No chance for Leicester in my view.

I reckon it'll be Wigan, Ipswich, West Ham, Reading, Stoke and one other.
After Adams going then i will have to go with West Ham.
