Let's be nice about The Right Honourable John Prescott MP until he delivers the verdict, eh. No nasty name calling while he's still deciding, yeah....

Basically it's in his hands, there was a public enquiry and we're waiting to hear from the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister.

Are you sitting comfortably, cos it's a long story...

Basically, we are now purely waiting for his says so. All we can do now is remind him we are not merely a 'provincial' club that has no need for a ground. Follow the link, follow the story...

Wow looks pretty spectacular!! You definately need a new ground , i reckon you would get at least 15000 in this division if your ground was big enough. Its funny how new grounds always seem to attract new fans as well , look at reading for instance. We've got plans to develope our ground if (when) we go up , were doing the away end first then the williams stand , which should eventually take it up to around 28000. I really do hope you get this ground because you deserve it, and hopefully taking 30,000 odd supporters to cardiff will show the lovely(wink wink , nodd nodd) man mr prescott how much you need it. I really do hope that we go up though because in the time we've been challenging for promotion you've had two promotions and a relegation!! I will be so depressed if you condem us to another year in this hole of a division next season but at least it wont be swindon , we'd never here the end of that.

It's planned so that if in the future the club does well, extra tiers can be fitted on top. Total potential capacity is apparently 60,000, but that's rather unlikely!!!

Swindon are popular. Oxford fans said pretty much the same thing. :D

They seem to see us as rivals when we just see them as an annoying little club who never have and never will acheive anything.:D

They made it into the Premiership for one single season. That's more than City and Albion have managed...

Didn't know that either, always presumed it would remain at 22/23k because had to fit in with the lie of the land and be non-obtrusive on the skyline. Excellent news if true though.

In fact, in our last league meeting, we beat Man U.

:p :p :p

It was actually a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford, we did beat them in our last home league game, which was the first ever Brighton game I attend. :clap2:

What the Man U game the one where Peter Ward scored (whilst back on Loan from Forest) - bout 10 yards out in front of the Northstand ?

I also seem to recall two Man U players knocking each other out with a clash of heads in front of the dug out.

If this were true, shouldn't we keep quiet about it until we've got the first bit built and full every week?

Didn't the enquiry ask this question? I don't recall what the answer was.
