The stipulation being 'armchair' as I know of those that can end this thread, with their quiz prowess.

But seeing Titanic having a few goes at the Countdown numbers yesterday reminded me of the time I did Carol!.
She needed the adverts to do a sum I managed in a few seconds. I think she was having an off day as it was quite straight forward.

Plus I once got a music question on UC before they played the piece in question, that was more to do with a poorly asked question.

Any others that have amazed your nearest and dearest, whilst you have slouched on the sofa?

UC is not what it used to be. I remember the days when I didn't understand many of the questions or know many of the answers - and I don't think it's because I know any more about anything!

On a similar theme, a mate of mine went on Jet Set and was asked who wrote Dr Jeckyll and Mr Hyde - his answer of Sherlock Holmes got him kicked off. When on 100%, I was asked what Strathclyde Police gave children to stop them being afraid of police cars. My answer of chocolate buns is still famous 12 years on!

some years back on Mastermind a guy answered Questions on Bob Dylan. My missus at the time said ' go on then clever sod, beat him'....yes you guessed it. I think it was about 17 I scored....ten years on if asked the questions I reckon my memory would allow me to get 3 or 4 right now...

I won test the nation in 2004 from the comfort of my armchair in Catford. 67 out of 70, a chat with Anne Robinson and a hamper of food from the National Farmers Union. Happy days, even more so considering I was umming and ahhing between watching that or watching "I am robot"
