Maths by far. God how I miss simultaneous linear equations! Oh, and maybe Miss Barnes had a little bit to do with it as well. Any Stringer Boys circa 1988 will know what I mean.

Economics, did a one year course and got an O/Level grade B. The teacher was a bloke called Norman Wright (at Steyning GS, if anyone else went there and remembers him), he was one of the only teachers I had at school who inspired me at all, top bloke and what I learned in the year he tought me has been useful all through my adult life, not much else I learned in school has.

Ahh, but nothing can escape Crowborough!

I did. I got on the bus and went to school in Tunbridge Wells. Whilst there, my favourite subject was Ancient Greek because my mum said she'd give me 5 quid if I took it. Fortunately she didn't say I had to pass it to get my money. I got 6% in the end of year exam but had already scoffed a fiver's worth of grub by then.

Another maths vote here. Currently trying to teach my step-daughter long division and long multiplication at the moment because they don't seem to teach it properly in school now.
