I saw Tori Amos some years ago & she came on stage & played on her own all evening - thats my definition of a 'Solo' Artist.

I quite agree that people like David Bowie / Bob Dylan / Neil Young WRITE their own stuff as Solo Artists but very few seem to perform on their todd!
