Ronaldo, the fat one. Or Rivaldo.

Yes and yes. Loved these two in their prime, especially the fat one. He was truly, as his nickname went, a phenonenon. If it weren't for the injuries I think he'd be talked about alongside Pele, Maradona and now arguably Messi.

My top 5 Brazilian players of all time would have to be:

1. The late, great Socrates

2. Eder

3. (A pre-Premier League flop) Branco

4. Careca (probably the best Brazilian striker never to win a World Cup)

5. Edmundo (so skilful, but an absolute headcase - Brazilian football's answer to the Honey Badger)

Garrincha: bandy legged dribbler

"was Stanley Matthews, Tom Finney and a snake charmer all rolled into one."

I spoke to Mel Hopkins about him,. He said he was tricky but was not that impressed.

PS: I saw him play once on TV when he scored a banana kick as they were called in those days. First time I had seen it done in 66.

Well it seemed good at the time! Otherwise: Jairzinho

Again, good at the time.

Rivelino (sp) simply for 'that' goal.
Where he bends it in, almost from the corner flag.

What makes that free-kick so special is that it's with one of those old, heavy balls. Imagine what he could do with the balloons we have today!

This. He gets my vote. For a full back he had a RIDICULOUSLY powerful and accurate shot on him. Legend

Before my time - Rivelino

Favourites growing up - Romario/Rivaldo/Ronaldo

Current - Jadson, quality little playmaker.

The player that Maradona thinks is the best player of all time....and I agree. If you ever
get a chance to watch the 70 final in full, he runs the show.

Rivelino of the 70 and 74 side
