Favourites change over the years.......but i always come back to this one.
It is pretty amazing.

And love dares you to care for
The people on the edge of the night
And love dares you to change our way of
Caring about ourselves
This is our last dance
This is our last dance
This is ourselves under pressure
Under pressure

Ghost town - The Specials . . . still as relevant today sadly.

Not really, 'Ghost Town' was more a stark observation of parts of the nation under a political lockdown. It is a quite brilliant snapshot of a society on the edge.

I still cant see past this. Even after all these years. Precursor to the Electronic 1980s

This is a great shout - and probably sowed the seeds of my love of synthesized music, the Moog line on this is fantastic and was so out of keeping of the stuff around at the time. Chicory Tip themselves looked just a boy band of the times and that Moog sound, just seemed odd - but boy did it work!

I too went on to love all the synthesized music. At the time of that song I am not sure I was really old enough to recognise that it was a new sound. I just loved the song. And it sounds great still.

Here
This - mainly because of the teenage associations that go with it - doing A levels at Hastings College, Hastings girls, long hot Summer of 1967, sex up on the West Hill by the castle, Swedish girls, The Pump House and The Anchor, French girls, all-nighters on Hastings Pier, sex on the beach, drug experimentation, hop picking at Guiness's farm at Bodiam in September, sex on the pier, coffee upstairs in the intimate darkness of the Pam Dor, bands at the Witch Doctor, vodka and lime, Italian girls, Merrydown, getting sacked from 3 different holiday jobs ..... and everything else that goes with being 17 and innocent that memorable breakout summer!!
