Latvian striker Deniss Rakels was on target as Albion’s development squad won 2-0 at Hastings tonight.
Head coach Oscar Garcia watched an array of youngsters show what they can do in a friendly.
Rakels, who is on trial,*turned in a George Barker free-kick just two minutes after going on as a half-time substitute.
Hastings defender Josh Jirbandey headed into his own net with the final touch of the game.
