...having emptied another bottle of Red wine over the loss of yet another manager you think "I know LeTissier and Merson could do a player manager double act." Now that's crazy talk.

Rix, no way.
Evans, don't think so.
Hoddle, Gregory as if.
Houghton not likely.
Curle, er.
Cotterill, I see the link, but have been spoilt by experience of managers to date so not overly keen.

Booker?

Time for bed.

Merson would be pretty good I reckon. Played under some great managers, would be excellent for the youth players (Jake could learn a load off him), and could play himself - he would rip Div 2 defences apart!

Merson as a player in our division would indeed be lethal, but as a manager I'm not so sure.

What about Dean Saunders?

If he makes a success of it, we could lose him cheaply to some crap team in the South Midlands and then watch him move on to take over from Houllier and guide Liverpool to the European Champions League trophy.

And he meets the FG requirement of being an Albion legend. Called Dean.

I relate to that Twickers, unfortunately am far too many pints of Guinness to the good to make a coherent comment.
