Apologies if this is going over old ground but when will the final decision be made about Falmer.

If there a time limit when a decision, one way or the other, will be made or can this saga go on for a few years yet?

I though that it was October this year, but that must be wrong as there would be some excitement/trepidation by now if that was the case.

The feeling when the answer is given is gonna be emmense, i'm nervous now just thinking about it.

Personally i reckon Prescott already has his mind made up.

Sad innit, the whole future of the club rests on this and it appears we've all been numbed into apathy by the time it's taking.

If it is this month you'd expect us to be well excited and scared.

Anyoe else worried that it won't be Prescott's decision, he'll just be advised by flunkies who we better hope are football fans.

The University of Brighton have always supported the stadium proposals and confirmed their support at the Inquiry. However the negotiations to sort out the fine details of the lease were protracted and we were unable to complete them before the end of the second session of the Inquiry in June.

As a result the Inquiry will resume for a final session in October. We have now made significant progress with the University. The access arrangements have been agreed and an additional planning application has been submitted to Lewes District Council to cover the amendments to our original proposals.

The Secretary of State has called this new application in to determine it himself so it will be considered when the Inquiry resumes in October. We have also made great progress on the other legal agreements with the University, and are on track to have all of these finalised by the time the Inquiry opens on 14th October.

This will remove the final hurdle and is good news for the Club. Providing all goes well in October the Inquiry will close by the end of the month and we expect that the Inspector will submit his report to the Secretary of State shortly afterwards.

We should know the outcome by the end of the year.

All going well the inquiry report should be submitted to Prescott shortly after the last bit of the inquiry finishes in October. There should be a decision made by 2 jags towards the end of the year. The way everything has been going I wouldn't be surprised if it was early next year though.

So, the enquiry finishes at the end of October, with the recommendation then given to Prescott. But he doesn't make his decision until December. Do we hear what the recommendation is in October, before Prescott's final verdict?

What worries me, is by the time we get a descision, not only might Prescott not be deputy PM, Labour might just even be in opposition !

I've heard Nov 10th but being a civil service planning approval issue,word will leak out before and we should know well before the end of Oct.
