Can't say I am too upset and there appears to be a bit of a "Barrett" syndrome here. When he first came (other than the first game) he was really good by running about and getting involved. Now he is running about and is getting nowhere and the early promise shown has vanished.

Also I still cannot see the point in loan-players as they solve nothing. Had he been really good the whole time then his going back would have left us with a problem in filling the void. It is the same with any loan-player who comes in and is successfull.

Albion & England forever.

The thing is he's now learned the Albion system and knows the players. I'm sure he would have gone on from here and done really well. From what I've seen he's been consistently good for the Albion.

Barrett was useless full stop - never ever even looked a good player IMHO

I beg to differ...Barrett's first performances had everyone (ok, most) people impressed. He put himself about, chased lost causes and made a nuisence of himself for the opposition...Then he started to fade and although he still ran about a lot it became evident that he was getting himself (and the team) nowhere.

Therefore he is now crap as Coventry City have found out.

I think Yeates has looked good over the past few weeks. He certainly has looked the most creative of our midfielders.

Not last Saturday and against Swindon Town he didn't...And his corners are awful.

I know Bobby Z would'nt come back anyway, but his chances at Spurs suddenly look more promising with Kanoute going to the African Nations Cup, and Postiga reportedly being loaned out to Celta Vigo.

This is very bad news. Apart from Knight he is the only classy player we have going forward.

So, so true............ and isn't it depressing?

And compared to Rehman he's been an absolute gem.

High up on the South Downs.
He's talented at running with the ball but I think he's over-rated. He never scored and he didn't create many goals. So I agree with Thimble Keegan on this. He's a bit of a Barrett.
