Mark McGhee has stated that he wants Yeates on a permanent move to Brighton.
If he plays like he did last Saturday I think it would be a great signing.
Just where is the money going to come from though?
I'm not sure we'll buy him to be honest. spurs rate him and won't want him to go. I hope I'm wrong though. Agree with Soton - the best we can hope is an extension to his loan
Pleat's policy is to give the better youngsters loan deals at other clubs. Another good prospect, John Jackson, has also just gone out on loan.
The only way Yeates would sign permanently is if he really loved playing for the Albion. Our best option would be to go for a 3-month loan extension, by which time the Falmer decision should be known and that might help us keep him, but I don't hold out much hope...
Just tie him up on a seaon long loan for the moment. He was good on Saturday, but one good performance does not justify a knee jerk reaction to sign him. Sorry but we have been here before where people wanted Pinamonte signed and to be honest Ron Noades did us a favour that time.
A season long loan is the best we can hope for Im afraid, he is highly rated at Spurs and others. If we then go up and are definately getting Falmer we might be able to offer some cash for him that might make Spurs consider a sale but unless we fork out some serious £ we can forget it.
