Taking him off turned out to be the right thing to do but people are being a little harsh on him.

There’s were two or three misplaced passes he made where if the execution had been fractionally better would have put the team in some excellent positions.

I think he’s better suited to having a strong ball winning holding midfielder next to him (Baleba) just didn’t work with Hinshelwood.

Bags of potential though and very raw and finding his feet.

Certainly worked first half at Anfield when both were superb.

Part of the problem is squad size. The squad is too big, players aren’t playing as many games as they would like and when they do it’s not in their preferred position. It’s why getting Europe was so important not some nice to have because we are little old Brighton.
