Is the correct answer.

Not sure what happened to be honest, but there must have been a good reason for kicking him out.

There was no good reason other than the Head of Security being an over zealous Met twat and the decision was not made, to be fair to them, by the J Block stewards.

I rely on the stewards to take action on the morons who jump to their feet whenever the ball travels over the half way line, ensuring that supporters miss the few goals we score, its particularly upsetting for any children you take along.

I pay a higher price for my st's so that my 8 year old can actually be in the same county when watching. Also from a better position. However sitting just a few rows from the front he has still not managed to see many of the few goals scored this year due to f**king idiots in H block standing up just as we enter the opponents half. By all means jump up if we score but there is really no need to leap up just for reaching the sodding halfway line.

Like most parents these days you seem to think that your childs interests are more important than those of other people. To you maybe, to the rest of us not. If a large number of people enjoy creating an atmosphere around themselves then who are you to insist that your child's view should take precedence over them? Go sit in the Family Stand.

If your willing to pay so much cash for your ticket, why not sit in the north stand or around the half way line where people are not going to 'jump up when we go over the half way line' sitting near H Block and then complaining about the standing is just f***ing stupid, it is essentially a standing section, you are not being forced to sit there, and if your child (who frankly i couldnt give two shits about) wants a better view, you get a decent one from the west stand

Aye. Apparently only club approved jackets are now allowed in the ground.

Wonderful moanfest this thread.
Perhaps the stewards should insist on a proper dress code. May I suggest a cravat or silk scarf should be obligatory to enter Withdean. Mr Duffle Coat can be dapper when required.

TBH the most unpleasantness was inflicted on the handful of Rushden & D fans who were thrown out for standing up at the back in torrential rain. This resulted in a group of 16 year olds being stuck at Preston Park Stn as their mate, who had the group ticket, had been hurled out and disappeared.

Isn't it just as selfish of you to think your desire to jump up and create the atmosphere you want (and feel can only be achieved by blocking other people's views) is more important than other people being able to watch the game they paid for (not just the kids)?

Of course it is. It's selfish of any person or group of people to believe their behaviour in a communal arena shouldn't be constrained, and others should change their own behaviour to cohabit with them.

But this is a problem that will always exist (at least while grounds are all-seater and sections of the crowd feel the need/desire to stand up). Especially at withdean where cost and views come into play more than most grounds (family stand too far away, north stand too expensive).

Getting the nark on because someone in front of you has "jumped up" because of a potential goal scoring oportnity?. They pay the same amount of money to watch a game. I hope you remain seated when we score, for the sakes of little Jonny behind you who wants to see the goal celebrations?. I really do worry, and indeed wonder If this crap is going to exist at Falmer. The idea of going to a football match is to support your team. If that means the odd standing up here and there, singing, then so be it.
If your idea of going to a football match is to sit there with your hot flask, knee warmers, and have a good moan at supporters getting behind the team and ruining your view for a few seconds then you should be sitting at home listening to the radio. Withdean is souless as it is without the likes of that nonsense from a handful of fans.

.

dont cohabit with them, just move to a couple of the thousands of empty seats that have no one in front of you or are you so anal that you MUST sit in the exact seat you have on your ticket?
Withdean has plenty of spaces for those who want to sit and those who want to stand.

But when you buy your ticket you get to choose where you want to sit (or at least I have every time I've bought mine). You choose that seat for a reason (I myself like the leg room afforded by an aisle seat, there aren't thousands of them available, and to be honest, the standing up doesn't bother me too much, if I need to see something I'll stand up, after checking I'm not obstructing the person behind me, of course. I'm just highlighting the hypocrisy of the "you're being selfish" argument).

You shouldn't have to move from your chosen seat because other people are blocking your view, especially when they are blocking your view as a result of breaking the rules by standing up.

Shut the f*** up you ignorant twat.

Firstly I do sit near the centre.

Secondly the point I was making not that I wish for no atmosphere but is there a real need to jump up just because we get near to goal. NO. By all means leap around like frigging idiots if we score.

Since 1974 I've chosen where to watch and frankly sitting in the West Stand is not my option. I too, would like standing and would take my child into such an area but equipped as I was with a step to see. When there is constant standing in the seats such as at Charlton that too is fine my kid just stands on the seat and is happy.

Whilst you may now be such a big grown up boy as you portray you too were small once. Lets just hope someone gave a little more shit about you than you do my kid!

You contradict yourself?

If you stand up and celebrate when we score, then technically you are breaking the rules, and potentially inhibiting someone elses view.
