from Inland Revenue. According to Sky Sports News just now, they have been given ten days to pay up.

All sounding frightening familiar isn't it.

Story seems to have been broken by the chairman and is being used as an argument to sell the ground.

Haven't we been here before ??

Has been shown twice now :lolol: :lolol:

Pretty much the same as he's been quoted as elsewhere - youngsters, if they get through this season (whichever division) we'll be fantastic. Nice though, Sky showing just the Brighton goals. F*ck me that Robinson goal was class, he'll be off to Real Madrid before the end of the season. Pure Owenesque

I can't believe this is happening again. I'll gladly stick some money in a bucket collection if it'll help. From the BBC:

Wrexham given tax deadline

Alex Hamilton clashes with fans at the Racecourse on Saturday
Wrexham chairman Alex Hamilton says the club will face a winding-up order in 10 days time if they fail to show how a £1m tax bill will be paid.

Hamilton has revealed a £840,000 bill to the Inland Revenue, and a further £120,000 owed to Customs and Excise.

He says the club's debts total £5m, and claims a insolvency expert has told him the club should be placed in administration to stave off creditors.

Such a step see the club being docked 10 league points.

Hamilton told the Daily Post: "The situation is worse than grim following my conversation with the Inland Revenue on Friday afternoon.

"The winding-up order is going to happen. The Inland Revenue have told me we need to come up with concrete proposals to show how we are going to pay our debt.

"The club is insolvent, everything I do and every action I take now is for the benefit of the creditors and I want people to understand there is little time left."

Mr Hamilton is clearly not setting the example that his position demands

Wrexham Supporters Trust member Lindsay Jones
The Wrexham board will meet on Monday afternoon to discuss how to finance the repayments of the tax bill.

Hamilton - who wants the club to quit the Racecourse Ground for a new home elsewhere - incurred the wrath of a section of Wrexham supporters on Saturday when he attempted to watch the opening game of the season from the Kop stand.

He was ushered away by police and stewards, and Wrexham Supporters Trust say Hamilton's actions will be reported to the Football Association of Wales and the Football League.

"Mr Hamilton's action was a crude stunt designed to provoke an incident at the game," said Trust member Lindsay Jones.

"Wrexham fans deserve credit for the restraint shown in the face of massive provocation. This behaviour defies logic, Mr Hamilton is clearly not setting the example that his position demands."

Before the game, thousands of Wrexham fans and former players marched through he town to protest against Hamilton's plan to sell the Racecourse Ground.
