Always gave the ball way and couldn't cross - no thank you

Yes, why would you say no? He adds options to our attack. Is he a long term bet, probably not. But in the run in we will need squad strength and our wingers are notoriously injury prone so another one would be very handy.

Neither here nor there
If we're looking for squad players to bolster our promotion challenge, and can afford him, he could do a job.

If the objective is to put the foundations in place for a team that can hold its own in the PL, then probably Nooney (and most of the current squad) are likely to be found wanting.

That's the dilemma of this transfer window, I would say.

All this "No end product" thing is bollocks really. Championship Wingers aren't David Beckham and apart from the brief spell playing alongside Murray at Withdean he spent his whole time aiming balls at CMS and Barnes....

No. Good player to have around the dressing room but lacks that final ball. If he had crossing ability he would be at a champions league club.

Even Orlandi and Lopez didn't get goals out of CMS. This final ball thing is a classic Albion fan ignorant reaction based on no more than a couple of examples (which you'd expect in this league). One person says it, the rest follow like sheep trotting out the same phrases with no proper evidence. Like Murray being lazy, Greer being past it, Elphick not being able to do anything other than hoof...etc etc

Why?

I don't think he is better than the three we have on the books, albeit two are injured. I'd rather go for RVLP. He's might not be the finished article but he has youth on his side.

Funny isn't it, the people saying no presumably were in the majority moaning about March at the beginning of the season

Not really, March is a young, developing winger who showed well for England U21 recently, Noone is 28 and wingers generally rely on pace which does diminish with age unless they possess other strengths within their game.

We were linked with him in the Summer so wouldn't be surprised if we went back... However nobodies provided the source for this rumour yet...?
