All depends how much you have to lose. Most people have more to lose than they realise. They only realise it when it's gone.

On the two occasions that I've been in this situation I've succumbed once and resisted once. But when I succummbed I only had a crumbling sham of a marriage on it's last legs to lose.

The fact that you might get away with it is irrelevant in my book.
