Would NSC mind assisting with a pant problem?

Here's the rub. I put on my lucky pants this morning in anticipation of the big game this evening. It wasn't until I went to the loo this morning, however, that I found out I'd put them on inside out.

Bearing in mind that the old adage suggests that you shouldn't turn them back the right way once done, what should I do?

I'd hate for us to lose tonight because I put them on inside out, or would putting them back the right way be the worst thing I could do?

Help!

You can cancel out the bad luck by wearing them on your head all day.

If you were a female, I'd suggest the label should tell you if they're the right way round - does it say C & A ?

One of Jnr's last AiTC football sessions was cancelled due to less than summery weather.

He came in all dejected, his final words on the subject were:-

'and I had my lucky green pants, on'.

Thats what I'm worried about. I'm inclined to leave them as they are, but having said that, they are slightly uncomfortable as well. :-(

I suppose you could wash them, then put them on properly, as if you're cock up had never happened.

id keep them as they are as this might be extra lucky. i used to follow a routine for every match that i attended at Withdean and would tweak it as necessary (if we lost) for the next match. almost had it spot on for the title winning final season. Now i take my son to the Amex and he has to make sure he is wearing his lucky pants. Only match he didnt wear them too last year (apart from night games as he is a bit too young especially during school time) was Burnley so i blamed him completly for the two sendings off, being five years old he now makes sure that his mum has them washed and ready for match day.

I am trying a new lucky pair of socks this season. I have them on now for the first time. They feel lucky. Nice blue and white stripes. Lovely. Premiership here we come.

Ah. So my pants may have no bearing on the outcome of the game at all. If we lose it could be down to your new socks!

Well I have for a long time subscribed to the view that lucky pants at football are not really what is needed. In the late 80's and into the 90's I had a lucky pair of pants and they followed for the most part a fairly unsuccesful period in the club's history. I therefore switched to lucky socks and things have definitely improved.

This new set is definitely destined for the premiership. I am expecting big things regardless of what you do with your pants.

And socks seem more appropriate for a game of football. You hardly ever see someone score a goal with their groin area.

Can we be clear here, are the pants on back-to-front or inside-out?
If its both, does that not cancel oneanother out or does it spell DOOM ?

Maybe go commando to "null and void" the issue?

they were simply on inside out. and no you are right NickBHAFC18, they're boxers not pants. please refer to the use of the word "were". I've had to put them round the right way.

If we lose I shall take full responsibility and burn my kecks
