lived and grw up in worthing till i was 20 and i hate the place more and more. Its a fooking shit hole full of twats. You can really only appreciate how shit it is when your move away.

I lived in Worthing for 4 years but moved out last year.
It is striking the amount of chavs hanging around / cruising around the town centre.
The town is clearly in decline, the flagship of decline being Teville Gate. Yes, they've bulldozed it but too little, too late. Not replacing the cinema in the town centre was another howler, as is not flattening the Aquarena swimming pool 60s concrete monstrosity and building a proper pool for the 21st century.
Worthing is testament to how poor town planning and a supine council can transform a decent town into Chavsville in a relatively short space of time.

What i want to know is where all these chavs have crawled out from?
Iknow East worthing and some parts of West Durrington (Tescos estate) are big breeding grounds but even so, has teh council done a deal with East Croydon to ship some of their dregs to the south coast in return for cash to support the nursing homes?

Whatever you think of Worthing it has nothing on some of the places I have had the misfortune to visit in some parts of Brighton, I am not going to mention anywhere because I do not want to offend posters who may live there,

I obviously live in Worthing and quite like it. I spend the entire football season travelling to far flung towns watching the Albion and we goto to some proper shit-holes...I thank my lucky stars I love where I do.
Yes, there are quite a number of Chavs but then they infest every town in England now.
As for night-life it is not too bad. The only decent town centre pubs are the Warwick and the Vinters Parrot so if you are looking for a decent local style pub then look outside of the town centre. The Liquid Lounge is a decent enough club as it can offer some variety but all Worthing clubs are pretty much the same churning out the same crap music. You will also find this is the same in all night-clubs, as I know Watford's night-clubs are the same as Worthing's and I have been in the Event and the Paradox (or whatever they are now called) in Brighton and they are no different from Worthing's clubs either.
Like I said above, there are probably bette places to live than Worthing there are many, many worse towns to live in as well.
