Why have they closed The Clifton that was THE Brighton supporting pub in Worthing from 50s to late 80s.

Trouble was a tv wouldn't have lasted very long in there. They replaced the pool table and the dartboard on a weekly basis.

A mate of mine was playing pool there once when he noticed one of Worthing's fairer ladies giving a bloke a nosh behind the fruit machine. You don't get that sort of service in poncey Craft Ale Pubs.

Must have been the saloon bar then. It was hand jobs only in the public bar.
