Had the pleasure of re-watching the brilliantly camp Bram Stoker’s Dracula starring a scenery chewing Gary Oldman as the Robert Sanchez of the piece (he doesn’t like crosses). Great fun all round and immensely silly.

But my word. Keanu Reeves is absolutely horrible in it

What are your personal opinions on the worst acting you’ve seen? Extra points if it’s a normally good actor being terrible.

As a bonus, here’s Jeremy Irons doing… something in Dungeons & Dragons.

Always known Reeves as ‘cardboardu’ Reeves.

As terrible actors go it’s hard to beat Alf in Home and Away 😂
To be fair, I think he’s great in The Matrix and John Wick (Reeves, not Alf), but my goodness even without the “English” accent it would be a shockingly bad performance

Anything at all with Tom Cruise.
Hard disagree, I think he’s a really good actor. I don’t like the Scientology stuff and think he’s a pretty weird bloke, but I think he’s a movie star all the way and deserving of his success. Which performances of his do you think are particularly poor? I think he’s excellent in A Few Good Men, for instance.

He's undoubtedly a movie star, but personally don't think he's a great actor. The Mummy, Rock of Ages and Vanilla Sky all roles where I thought he was either miscast or just plain not very good.

I watched Interview with the Vampire on Netflix a few days ago.
Not a single good acting performance across the film and Cruise and Pitt are horrific (not in the way the were supposed to be)

Says everything when you realise Christian Slater is the best of the lot.

Seen all of those and didn’t like any of the movies, but I don’t blame him for that personally and think he was competent. Okay not in Rock of Ages!

I get the dislike for Cruise, I really do, and he can fail when carrying a movie like anyone else (“The War of the Worlds” springs to mind) but I just don’t get how anyone could find him a bad actor, let alone one of the worst.

It would be like saying Spacey is a bad actor just because he’s a weird, dodgy bloke. It’s just not true

Gal Gadot is pretty bad. Though in fairness I don't think anybody could make those DCU SupermanBat Vs Justice Dawn Wonder movies palatable.

Agree with this. I don’t really watch the Marvel movies but I thought she was terrible in Snow White

The acting in The Inbetweeners is REALLY bad.

Jason Statham in ANY film. We play "how many accents is he doing at once".

The actors in Garth Merenghi's Dark Place. I can't believe they let it go out on TV. Someone should have noticed.

You say you don’t like Jason Statham and then watch all his films to see his bad acting?

Mark Wahlberg in The Happening, Planet Of The Apes and Flight Risk.

Not helped by all 3 being shit films but he doesn't help them to be less shit by being really shit in them.

Despite 2 Oscar nominations I'm not convinced that he is actually any good. However, when cast well, he has given some good performances. Not least in Boogie Nights.

Unless I'm being whooshed, Garth Merenghi's Dark Place is SUPPOSED to be absolutely terrible. I loved it.

For me, Hayden Christensen in Star Wars, Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith is excruciatingly bad. I appreciate the script was bloody awful, but my god his delivery was so wooden. I cringed so hard I almost ruptured a kidney.

Terrible in all three of those and as you say, they’re poor movies, nobody could play those roles well. Can’t stand him on a personal level (convicted racist thug) and also don’t like his acting.

This might seem ironic given my defence of Tom Cruise, but I find Wahlberg extremely artificial in expression and manner.

I did like Ted though.
