OK, here's mine:

Roger David Glover (the man behind the best of Deep Purple)
Bernard Edwards (Nile Roger’s side kick across the disco universe)
Marcus Bell (of my beloved ‘Opposition’, RIP)
Volkan Caner (She Past Away – the first of only 4 on my main list I’ve actually seen live)
Richard Quentin Laird (Mahavishnu Orchestra’s Irishman)
Peter Hook (Joy Division and New Order)
Richard Stephen Sinclair (perhaps my favourite, Caravan and Hatfield and the North)
Colin Hodgkinson (Back door’s virtuoso in the 70s)
Terence Michael Joseph Butler (the geezer who invented heavy metal)
Robert Shakespeare (part of the unsurpassable riddim section of Sly and Robbie)

Honourable mentions for John Entwistle, Sting, Martin Glover and Paul Raven

Bernard Edwards, of course. :rave::rave:

You can tell most people's ages by their choices! Or at least the eras of music they're most influenced by

There are loads of really good bass players, not a bad one mentioned, even Sting qualifies , just.

JPJ and C Squire are glaring ommissions from my list, love them both.

John Deacon ain't bad either, and a huge one, singer too . . .Phil Lynott

I forgot Lynott. Then I remembered him, and remembered how he would forget his lyrics :lolol:

I saw Lizzy (supporting Bachman Turner Overdrive - I actually fell asleep during their shitty set). Yes, iconic. Honourable mention for me.

I get what you say about choice following era following age. I am pleased, at least, to include one 20-something in my list, the Turkish boy. I won't post anything though because this isn't a post a video link kinda thread. Look them up! The Missus describes his band, 'She Past Away' as 'disco Orcs' :lolol:
