It's still wonky. And far wonkier than they admit.

It's going to replace the Pavilion as the place that people say that "true Brightonians never visit". Saying that, I have been and wanted to go to the Pavilion in the past. I've got no interest in spending £10, £15 or whatever it is for a view that you can get so much better and for free from the hill by the big TV mast near the racecourse.

The tall thing in this photo, it's in Toronto.

When I went to Toronto in 2002 it was still the worlds tallest building and the higher observation deck was the highest man made point you could stand at that time, some 1465ft off the ground. Quite an amazing view from up there.

Yes it is a pretty impressive structure and I live 5 minute's walk away. You don't realise just how huge it is until you walk up to it.

I have to say I wasn't particularly impressed by the 'chimney' when I was in Brighton a few weeks ago, and I was quite in favour of it originally. I guess it will look a bit better when the pod is at the top, but it does seem completely out-of-place.

I have been up it. Its rubbish. Crappy location (Toronto). The one in Brighton will be MUCH better. Face south and you will be able to see France. Face north and you'll be able to see BG in HH. Albeit, not through the frosted window behind which he, sadly, presently sits . . . .
