An incredible first round match, could be a final, and shows the strength of depth in World Darts. I fancy Jackpot to roll back the years against the Dream boy. Bitterly dissapointed with the Lancashire Rose in the last match.

Lewis took a very exciting first set but just seemed to crumble after that. 'Dreamboat' survived a tough challenge and the further he goes, the more dangerous he'll become. The crowd love him. Wish I'd put a fiver each way on Anderson at the start but such a long way to go.

Today sees two genuine contenders enter the fray with Kryzstof Ratajski and Peter Wright in action.

Some cracking matches today. Clayton vs Barry didn't disappoint either. 10 x 100+ finishes smashing the record for a 5 set match. :wozza:

Oh dear.

Just like this thread, the World Championships have descended into a farce and chaos with Vincent Van Der Voort, Michael Van Gerwen and now Dave Chisnall all having to pull out after testing positive for Covid-19.

Surely the only option now is to suspend the tournament and play all the matches fairly in January? You can't call yourself the best player in the world without having to beat Chisnall, MVG and possibly more top players pulling out.

But the crowd's outrageous disrespect towards Welshman and defending champion Gerwyn Price on Monday night shows they don't deserve to see the best quality darts players. It was DISGRACEFUL!

.

Callan Rydz was superb this afternoon

4-0 walloping of the Asp, not dropped a set all tourney and got the jock fireman in the next round

Respect to the Albion fan who held up the “Why did you let it bounce?” placard during Peter Wright’s walk on tonight! 🙌

First time I’ve had the chance to sit down and watch a full game this year. Watched Price v Smith and got very lucky. Never seen a nine dart finish for starters and both players could have wrapped up the game before they did. Great theatre and didnt miss a dart for two hours.

The overall quality has been incredible this year. Been lucky enough to see some brilliant, brilliant matches.

Brooks v Borland
Price v Huybrechts
M.Smith v Clayton
R.Smith v King
Anderson v Cross

And then of course Rydz v Wright & Smith v Price tonight.

It’s also been amazing to see a seemingly golden generation coming through too; Brooks, Borland, Rodriquez, Rydz, Humphries & Searle to a lesser extent!
