The lowest prize fund since 1989, and both Wilson and Bristow are both no longer with us, says it all really.

They need to go back to the Lakeside and play their tournament at Easter, its never going to be on a par with the Ally Pally but as been stated on this thread countless times, perhaps even 180 times, the PDC needs the BDO to help develop the stars of tomorrow.

I know the timing hasn't changed for years but in the cold light of day you couldn't think of a worse time to have it. People are skint, more and more people are cutting down or excluding booze in January and it's straight after the better quality PDC championship.

Easter is a good shout, even early December before the PDC to get people in the mood. I doubt they will change though, common sense rarely prevails.

Fallon Sherrock currently 6-4 up against Michael van Gerwen in the final of the Nordic Darts Masters (ITV4)

She beat Dimitri Van den Bergh in the semi final 11-10 after being 8-2 & 10-6 down.

Throwing some fantastic darts

Glad for her and like her but a joke she’s playing as a crowd drawing wildcard without having to qualify in this sham of an event - glorified exhibition - and pros trying to make a living get overlooked for the pure ‘different’ pull of having Fallon there.

Bit harsh as every player there is invited as it's not based on rankings for who qualifies, although saying that, should probably have been at least players with tour or challenge tour cards at least. You could argue they didn't have to invite MVG as he hadn't won any event for 10 months but is also a crowd drawing player, yet he turned it around and ended up in tears during his interview.

Yes mate get that but invited based on nothing but drawing popularity over the world. Like the prem league glorified exhibition and the pros only want to play in it for financial Purposes. Fallon has played brilliant but she’s not even the best female player - it’s all about image etc. It’s not a real tournament imo. Just money making / brand exposure etc. It’s a business and I get why they do it partially don’t get me wrong. But she did nothing to warrant qualifying over any of the worlds top players etc. Too much darts on tv / in general now.
