Just looking at the thread about Chelsea signing another new player who would push swp down the pecking order.

Would you take SWP or infact any player who isnt playing regular first team football to the world cup, let alone any where near the first 11?

Where would he play Wright Phillips?

Surely not in place of Becks. If becks is injured then yes I will be happy for SWP to play in world cup. I think we need to take him. Is there anyone better?

Yes. They can still be played in the friendlies beforehand and in the "easier" games, but all the players in the expected team should be in the first teams anyway, except maybe Joe Cole

At the foot of the downs
at the moment I'd take Aaron Lennon from Tottenham, he had another superb game tonight ..

I cannot believe that Chelsea paid £20m for SWP. It could only have been like Liverpool used to do buy players to stop other clubs buying them.

I wouldnt take him whether he was or wasnt playing for Chelsea first team. There are too many in front of him,who do the same job, for my money.

Who? Beckham aside, he is light years ahead of any English right-winger at the moment (if you exclude Joe Cole, as he will be playing left wing).
