I agree. The draw is made before it all starts to sort groups and paths to the final. No reason to start piss-balling around with it mid-tournament.
be quite intersting to have an fa cup style draw with no teams seeded. Wont ever happen though as if it aint broke n all that

Us, we have had an easy route to Portugal and we should beat them.

It would cause carnage for people who want to plan their travels to a given game. At least by the last group game we knew we were going to either Stuttgart or Munich. From there, we know where we're playing.

From a spectator point of view, a random draw would be more exciting and give the tournament extra unpredictability.
