I still remember when I was a kid we played San Marino and went behind so early on that my mum thought I was kidding when I called up the stairs that they had scored.

Should prove to be a differcult group for England to get out off,thanks to the Prem & Sky we simply use what money that comes into the game to fund/buy foreign players at the expense of the national team and South Africa is just one of many examples of this and it wont get better.

Pretty lucky though, just a pass back that went wrong. San Marino couldn't hold on though and went on to lose 7-1. Wrighty scored 4 didn't he?

And anyway, our 7 was nothing compared to the 10 Norway put past them! I really hope they beat us though, would be hilarious considering we won't win the world cup anyway. Or at least play a weaker side and give the fringe players a run out...

We needed to win by 7 clear goals to stand any chance of qualifying, whilst hoping for Poland to do us a favour against Holland, which they didn't.
