Our work do (do's) should be interesting this year. The big, group one is in a couple of weeks and will take place in an atmosphere of naked hatred towatds the bosses, who are in the process of making a load of redundancies before Xmas. Like a few, I'm boycotting it, the hypocrisy in saying 'You're all heroes - oh, and by the way, enjoy Christmas on the dole some of you' is staggering.
Then the department one you have to pay for yourself, which I always think is cheaper than David Dickinson.

That sounds like a load of fun waiting to happen...the sales team at my old employ once were ORDERED to attend the Xmas party by their despised boss. They attended - and about 20 of them (joined fraternally by some of their not at all disgruntled editorial colleaguesTooting Gull said:
