They are rather tedious.

Sadly this year we are doing a whole company one which means having to socialise with sales centre workers.

I shall be avoiding

Might be some fit nubile one's from sales?

What are you doing for yours? Do you avoid it at all costs? Any shameful stories?

They always used to be so much fun, but now i'm older and hold down a more responsible job, they tend to be painful.

Ours is on 22nd November, we got a 15% discount for booking it for earlier. We've got a 3 course meal, bottle of house wine for the table and a Tina Turner tribute act followed by a seasonal disco all for £39.95.

Work parties probably use to be good in the 80's 90's, however everyone is far more conscious about how they will be perceived the next day at work and end up being far to reserved. Plus I think many companies have scaled back completely the budget for such events.

My first ever xmas party was at the Hilton Brighton. I was 19 and my gf was17. At the end of the night 3 other girls in the company ended up beating up my gf for no reason (which after 2 years with her found out she probably rubbed them up the wrong way and deserved it) but other than that experience the others have been dull as dish water.
