Hegemony: I always thought it referred to a person, team, country, culture etc being dominant and far more powerful than it's competitors. Basically, being the number one with no real challengers.

Facile: I didn't think it meant easy. I thought it meant something was a little simplistic and not well thought out. Much like all the argument the NIMBY's are putting against Falmer.

As for Oleagenous. I've never heard of it before but i think i will use it whenever i talk to / about my old french housemate. He was an oleagenous gimp.
