Realistically, the draw is our only hope.
This. Until there is a root and branch clear out of the staff at Hove we can forget about any sort of success. No proper batting coach for the past ten years and the turkeys came home to roost a long time ago.

Just look at the top six "batting" for Sussex in this game...

Five from the Sussex youth system + Luke Wright who they have been ruining since the age of 18. No wonder we are getting thrashed.

Luke Wright 103* (166 balls, 17 fours, 1 six)

Sussex 281 (74 overs), leading by 71 runs

He has taken his time to get there this morning... now we need to press on before the new ball and build a decent lead.

Luke has played so well, playing each ball on merit, it has taken overs to get from 98 to 100.

This is a great partnership now only a few away from 200.

Lets hope they keep going and are in for the new ball.

Luke Wright has over 1000 CC Dev 1 runs this season, I'd guess more runs than many players being considered for a test place. Well played Luke.

200 run partnership, I am away in France without my handbook, what is the 4th wicket record, where is this so far in the pecking order. Does it count with a retired player, I imagine it does.

They said it was 190 something earlier on, but some conjecture as to when the partnership starts from, but there are only 15 odd runs between the last wicket falling and Nash retiring, so they have broken it either way now. 297-3.

Thats Brilliant I thought it may be a hundred or so more, did they mention at all, who held the record they have broken.
