Just got back from a disasterous family meal at Woodies in Hove/Portslade. Not only have the Happy Days-style waitresses gone but so has any kind of reasonable service.

It took about 15 minutes before they took our order.

None of the crayons for the kids like they used to do.

The place is staffed by a 16-year-old and his mates.

And to top it all my 5-year-old son wanted egg and ham with a bit of toast but they insisted on charging us for a full adult version of the meal with all the trimmings (he barely eats more than a tiny portion) and with toast charged as an EXTRA!

I can't tell you what the food was like because we got out before it got any worse.

Even the plasma screen TV is broken!

It seems most have already deserted this once fun restaurant as there was only about 6 people in there (Friday teatime!) but in case anyone is tempted -don't bother. Woodies is rotten.

Good consumer feedback, but I must add, if you can successfully post a thread on here containing the word "Woodies" in the title, without getting any smutty responses from other posters, then I will be mightily impressed

I like the term 'teatime'......!!

Has it changed hands maybe?

Never been there and never fancied it either. BURGER OFF is the king of burgers..!!
