I went to a pre season friendly there 94/95ish. We played in the "Inter" style shirt if memory recalls. Funny I can remember that but not the score?!?

Did Steve Foster play against pompey ? was it 1-0 ? I think I was there but very vague now.

Yeah pretty sure Fozzie did play against Pompey. Remember they were all over us and we were lucky to get a win. Seem to recall Beeney made a few cracking saves to keep us in the match. Am sure the woodwork and a disallowed goal saved us as well. Am sure the fighting on the pitch happened during the game after the disallowed goal when quite a few pompey came on the pitch to celebrate from the South stand. Am sure they were celebrating for a good few minutes before they realised the ref had not even given the goal!

That game in 92 was my first ever away game.

Woking was only 20 minutes down the line on the train for me.

I was at that game. Indeed my one & only time that I have spent an evening at Woking until next week!
