I do not think I would start a thread moaning about that, although it to would be a great distraction while driving to work.

I thought that, but no they are the little lights under the main headlights that sometimes have a blue strip light aswell

Sounds like some chavvy modification to me.

I hate the piercing white (xenon) headlights. If a car with those is behind me for a while, it HURTS my eyes. Hate them, and I'd ban them.

(although I think my new commpany car is going to have the stupid things)

Not as annoying as front fog lights when there is no fog, or even worse front fog lights and sidelights together. Why?

Agreed, I find it totally bizarre that they are permitted, with only a recommendation that lights should be steady when on unlit roads.

That's ridiculous, not only are they a distraction for drivers but I walked past a cyclist using one the other day and had to turn away to stop it temporarily blinding me.
