Withdean extra seats again

Hi people,

Due to work commitments I don't get to post to often, but wondered if anyone had anymore information on the extra seats at Withdean - I understand there was an objection from a local resident and that was the last I heard. Even though we are not selling out every week at the moment, surely these extra seats may help create a better atmosphere and allow fans to turn up on the day and cheer the Albion along.

Sorry if I have doubled up on this thread.

all gone quiet on that front, last I heard was Feb/March time *maybe* for them...not 100% on that though. Chances are they wont be installed until pre-season I reckon

Thanks Crabtree,

It seems like ages since there was any news. Do you know when the next Fans Forum is ? surely the question must be asked again.

not sure on the fans forum, I resume they have a mid season one but again not 100% sure. Still the Falmer decision in January is the only thing worth worrying about IMO!

Crabbers, I though some withdean Nimby had put a block on it, something to do with noise and the park and ride as well ???

yeah DK mentioned that or Perry did at the last forum thingy and that they were going through the motions...hence the delay again.

I assume the answer to that is simple and that if more seats are available on the basis of pay on the day, then more people will turn up. I know of at least ten mates who don't go regularly but would love to go now and again, as they did when we played at the Goldstone and at Gillingham!:glare:

Don't think pay on the day is an option, even if there were 5,000 seats available.

Tickets cannot be sold at Withdean, end of.

That's how I understand it anyway.

the seats that were being propsed would mainly have been available for the increase in away fans that we would have got from the big clubs in Division 1.
However......................
Having got relegated, there clearly isn;t the need to accomodate huge away followings from Palace, Reading and the like, when we have got Brentford and Blackpool coming to Withdean.

Now.... what would you waste money on. Empty seats or the public enqury and other Falmer costs.
