I think the play offs have shown how important it is to have decent wingers.Kebe & Mcanuff for Reading and Sinclair & Dyer for Swansea. All very good players and essential to the way both teams play.I think we need to break the bank for 2 decent ones although i think Nooney might be ok.I know Kebe didn't play in the semis but they had a very able back up.

KLL we must bid-i estimate we have left £4.5m to blow on fees if required

In fact the sheer dimension of the playing surface at The Amex demands wide players

Bennett will be fine and Noones played Championship level before so 2 more wingers (Buckley and LuaLua ?) and that's that sorted.

agreed! and gus likes 3 strikers sometimes so he'll do that on occasions suppose to actually playing 2 out and out wingers. in addition we must get a goal machine up top to partner hoskins/barnes.

And what did you base that estimate on?

Just a conservative figure in my minds eye-i think its not beyond the realms of impossibility.
League 1 TV money-£900k
Championship TV money £4m
Championship consolidation money (given to clubs to off set EPL parachute payments) £2m
That's £6m give or take

Ok i don't run the clubs finances & i am no accountant but i make that £6m in the pot-

Not expecting to spend millions but i think £5m on transfers is not unreasonable in this day and age is it?

We do need wingers

We'll be playing with 3 wingers up front next season out of the 4 we'll have!

(Noone, Bennett, Buckley, Lua Lua), probably with Bennett probably playing through the middle.

I'm sure Gus is all too aware of this, hence him bidding for Buckley and trailing KLL. It would be fantastic to have a couple of top drawer wingers rampaging down the flanks of the Amex.

Will make us fluid and hard to pin down and keep the opposition occupied-
